MADRASSAH
Various classes are held under the guidance and supervisesion of Shaykh Aslam Tambara.
Madrassah classes are held for children and adults daily.
COMMUNITY
We are part of the kaleidoscope (spelling error) of South Africa. The members of our jama’ah come from all sectors of South African society, residents, visitors (long term and day visitors), as well as others. Situated as a Jumu’ah Mosque on a major thoroughfare, which makes it easy for the many individuals that visit the premises and are welcomed by our Imamate.
There is a code of behaviour and etiquette when visiting the Mosque.
Appropriate dress should be adhered to.
JANAZA (FUNERAL) ARRANGEMENTS
We have access to a body washing facilities available to anyone who wishes to use it, we also have a system in place involving the local authorities and funeral services (as well as arranging for a hearse), which can be arranged. Please contact us in case someone near and dear passes away and we will provide help and advice to make their last journey comfortable with respect and regards in accordance with Sharia practices.
HOURS
PRAYER
The Mosque is open for all of the five daily prayers. During the daytime the main prayer hall can be used for reading the Qur‘an and quiet contemplation. It can accommodate over 2000 people, including space dedicated just for women.
